There are many benefits to sponsoring the Beanpot, some of which are listed below:
Support the Community
In supporting the B-School Beanpot Competition, companies show their willingness to become involved in their community. In additions, companies can give a little back to the community that supports them.
Local and National Media Coverage
Sponsors will realize local and national media coverage, as the B-School Beanpot is widely known and advertised. Highly regarded media such as The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, and Boston Business Journal have supported the Beanpot in the past.
Provide a Forum for Future Business Leaders
Undergraduate business students spend four years in a classroom preparing themselves for real-life business situations. The B-School Beanpot gives these students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a team environment and benchmark themselves against other business students.
Gain Exposure to Future Business Leaders
As a sponsor of the B-School Beanpot, each company is invited to the event, which is being held at the Rafik B. Hariri building, home of Boston University's School of Management. The B-School Beanpot Organization greatly encourages companies to set up booths at the event.
This gives recruiters the opportunity to meet the competitors on a one on one basis, in a career fair style setting. In addition, each sponsor will be supplied with a booklet containing the resumes of each competitor. Finally, each sponsor is invited to have a executive be a member of the judging panel. Judges will view both the writing and presentation skills of the competitors.
